Vintage Mid-Century Brass Church Thurible & Prinknash Abbey Incense Set A magnificent mid-20th-century (c. 1940s-1960s) solid brass church thurible, or censer, complete with its original accessories. This is a heavy, professional-grade liturgical vessel featuring an ornate Gothic-style pierced lid designed for the ceremonial burning of incense. Key Features & Condition: • Quality Build: Crafted from heavy-gauge solid brass with a beautiful, authentic aged patina. It has not been over-polished, preserving its historic ecclesiastical character. • Dimensions: The main body stands approximately 7" tall with a 4.5" diameter. • Triple-Chain System: Features the traditional three-chain suspension attached to a decorative central hanging ring. All chains are secure, and the lid slides smoothly for easy access. • Complete Interior: Unlike most vintage examples, this includes the original dual-liner system (a copper-toned bowl and a silver-toned charcoal insert). These protect the outer brass from heat and are essential for practical use. • The Incense: Includes a vintage box of world-renowned Prinknash Abbey "Basilica" blend incense. Hand-blended by Benedictine monks, this is considered the premier incense for cathedral use. Condition Report: Excellent vintage condition. No major dents or structural damage. The brass shows minor surface wear consistent with age, adding to its charm. A rare, complete set perfect for church use, religious artifact collectors, or as a high-end decorative piece.#Thurible#Censer#ChurchAntiques#VintageBrass#ReligiousHistory#PrinknashAbbey#Ecclesiastical#MidCentury#ChristianAntiques
